Simple Sandwiches

Hello People, This sandwich for me dates back to when I was in Nursery School, my Mum loved to make it for us, most times as breakfast or snack to school. We used to enjoy it with hot chocolate or a cup of cold ribena (good old days). It can be served as a finger food during parties. I call it simple, cos all the ingredients needed are most times, if not always available in your kitchen and it takes less than 15 minutes to prepare. So here goes it: My simple sandwich & a cup of hot chocolate Ingredients: For Sandwich: Sliced Bread 1/2 Tin of Corned Beef (alternatively, a tin of sardine) 30g of butter 1Tin of evaporated milk Tools: Chopping Board Bread Knife Direction: 1. Mix the corned beef, milk and butter together to make a smooth paste 2. Rub in the paste on one side of each bread slice, stick 2slices together. 3. Cut of the edges from the bread, then slice diagonally. Voila! Your simple sandwich! I enjoyed mine with a Cup of hot chocolate. You ca

DIY: Coconut Oil

Hello People, I love "DIYs" cos they save me a lot of money (winks), though when you DIY you could spend a lot of time as opposed to buying the particular item "ready made" For those who don't know the meaning, DIY is Do It Yourself. Source:Google Coconut Oil has a lot of health benefits for  1. Skin: It is an inexpensive remedy for dry, scaly and itchy skin. It can also speed up the healing of wounds. 2. Hair:  i t is one of the relatively few oils that are able to penetrate deep into the hair, hence correcting damage. 3. For Cooking: Coconut oil is  edible. It is cholesterol free, hence very good for the body.  It is the most abundant natural source of Lauric Acid which  exhibits antivi ral, antimicrobial, antiprotozoal and antifungal properties. A study shows that many people who regularly consume coconut oil experience less sickness. Breast milk is the only other natural source that contains such a high concentration of lauric acid  which e

How to make Moi-Moi

Hello People, I remember my first attempt at making moi-moi, it was a disaster (*hides face). My aunt had given me the recipe and ingredients needed, I mixed it  but the mixture was kinda watery, so a cousin of mine said, "continue, it will be hard as it cooks". So I put the moimoi on the cooker and cooked for some minutes, by the time I brought it off the cooker, it was still watery (hahahhahaha). No price for guessing how sad I was that day. Anyways, after some months, I decided to try again, this time it turned out well. With continuous practice I'm gradually becoming a "moi-moi guru" *hehehehehe. Now, to the business of the day, this dish is also know as "Beans Pudding" and is most likely eaten as a side dish. Ingredients: - 2 cups of brown beans (you could use white, though i always prefer the taste of brown beans) - 4 tatashe / capsicum - 8 red bell pepper - 2 Medium sized Onions - 1 small sized green pepper (optional) - Crayfish
